This is a new news item added to the Pagoda training web site

On the evening of Satuday 11th June 2011 2 Security Officers from Pagoda Security Services Response Team were on patrol in Brighton & Hove.

Local Police had circulated details of a wanted male who was currently at large and the Police needing to get in custody.

That same evening, approximately 45 minutes after the circulation of information, the Response Team Officers identified the male close to the Royal Pavilion in Brighton and immediately alerted the police.

The Response Team waited and contained the male while Police were en route, who soon after arrived and made a quick arrest.

Pagoda Security Services continues to work closely with local Police, the Council and other agencies to help play their part in reducing crime and making our clients premises a safer more enjoyable place to be.

With consultants and security companies providing clients with an ever expanding portfolio of guidance, it is worth noting the cost of providing inadequate advice.

Some consultants have seen the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 as a business opportunity, it has also put additional responsibilities on to the owners of premises.

Last week saw a hotel manager and the consultant fire risk assessor both jailed for fire safety offences following assessments which failed to identify a number of significant deficiencies.
